Roberti Stephani Venetiis, apud haeredes Petri Rauani et socios, 1550 A famous thesaurus of the Latin language by Robert Estienne ( 1503 - 1559), edited by Mario Nizzoli (1498 - 1566) and printed in 1550 by Pietro Ravani. This is the third volume of three, beginning with the letter Q and ending with the Z. This should be the first edition of the Nizzoli's augmented version of Robert Estienne's "Lingua Latina Thesaurus ". The second blank page is an old replacement, the first page with a repair in the upper right without any loss of text. Some light foxing and dampstain, but a good copy printed on crisp Renaissance paper. Many attractive initials adorn the book. In the end, there is an incredible printer's mark representing a mermaid, measuring 5.50 in. x 4.25 in. Original full vellum binding with some defects (see the photo). Pages: two original blanks + 685 + 1 + two original blanks . This is volume 3 of 3.
