This Book would make a fine adittion to any Barrie collection or library collection in general. It is getting very hard to find in ANY condition. BID WITH CONFIDENCE. It is an excellent investment as it will only keep appreciating in value, as the 1906 edition of Peter Pan by Hodder & Stoughton has reached market values up to $30,000.
This book is in very good condition, the gold gilt on the covers is not worn or fading, there is a faint stain on the front cover, the gold gilt on the spine is in seldomly seen very good condition with, perhaps, very minor fading; there is a tiny bit of shelfwear at the top & bottom of spine, the corners exhibit minute rubbing, The endpapers are clean, bright and except for a previous owners inscription on the ffep, unmarked. All the plates are present and in excellent condition, page forends ends uncut (not trimmed), The tissue over the frontispiece has a small tear, No foxing evident, No smudgemarks, No cracks or cracking, no tears or rips, nothing is loose or coming loose, and best of all, there is NO, NONE nada writing or marking anywhere else in this book !.
PLEASE excuse my poor photography skills, the photos below do not do justice to the plates (they are not blurry, etc.). Further, it is hard to get an accurate shot of the color of the covers, without background lighting the cover photos are too dark, with lighting they appear a pale light green.
A Highly presentable copy of a much sought after book.
