Knights Templar Original Vellum Document 1251 Crusades read the story how these documents where found Vellum manuscript 26 by 21 cm 27 november 1297, signed by geraldus, notary. Of the first document I am sure, that it belongs to the Knights Templar, I have no futher info on this document but it seems a deed of some kind, I have not been able to trace the origins of the curious symbol http://asv.vatican.va/en/visit/doc/zoom03.html Click on this link, made up in exactly the same style as the famous parchment of Chinon, in which the Pope Clement V gave absolution to the leading members of the templar order.
