Volume 3 (of 11) of THE FIRST COLLECTED EDITION OF PUSHKIN'S WORKS!
'SCARCE' (Fekula). Currently, this is the only exemplar of any volume of this edition available for sale on the internet. A complete set of this edition sold at Christie's (London) in 2006 for 7,200 (i.e. $14,054 at that time).

Altogether, the volume contains 115 poems , and is divided into chapters according to genre:
Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799 1837) was a preeminent Russian author of the Romantic era who is considered by many to be the greatest Russian poet and the founder of modern Russian literature. Pushkin pioneered the use of vernacular speech in his poems and plays, creating a style of storytellingmixing drama, romance, and satireassociated with Russian literature ever since and greatly influencing later Russian writers. He also wrote historical fiction.

Good antiquarian condition. Binding rubbed and scuffed with some discoloration (due to water staining) to the upper half; the paper covering the boards slightly peeling at edges; edges and corners worn. A horizontal crack (rather superficial and harmless) across the back strip; joints partially cracked, but hinges intact. Boards securely attached; binding tight. Water stained throughout (mostly to upper part of leaves), resulting in moderate wrinkling of paper, but the text is clear and legible throughout. Occasional light spotting or soiling. Generally a clean, complete, wide margined and quite presentable exemplar.
