Wonderful 18th Century Persian Illuminated Manuscript Picture(s) and Description:
This is a wonderful ancient persian illuminated manuscript depicting a battle scene, this piece most likely dates from the early 18th century or earlier. Beautifully handpainted on vellim with beautiful calligrapic script on the reverse. This piece is fairly large for being out of a hand written volum of the koran.app 14" by 9". Colors are still vibrant as can be seen in photos.
