Complete Volume from 1884 of Proceedings of the Zoological Society Containing 58 plates of which 37 are hand colored Information: This natural history volume is the 1884 publication of the Proceedings of the Scientific Meetings of the Zoological Society of London. The entire work was published by Longmans, Green, Reader, and Dyer during the 1880s. Featured within the work are a miscellany of plates of birds, quadrupeds, butterflies, shells, and more. This particular volume contains 58 plates of which 37 are original hand colored lithographs.

Binding: Mabled boards with leather spine and corners, raised bands on spine with gilded decorations

Condition: Overall Excellent. The binding shows some wear and bumping along the spine, edges, and corners. The spine has some slight cracking along its lower half. The boards show some wear. The pages and prints art tight. Please see the photos below.

The plates are in near excellent condition with only a handful of scattered light foxmarks affecting a few plates. Please see the photos below.
